Annie Lennox

Annie Lennox, born 25th December 1954 in Aberdeen Scotland. Dorothy Farquharson, and Thomas Allison Lennox were her parents. Lennox had studied for three years in the Royal Academy of Music London in the 1970s, was admitted. She managed to make it on her student stipend as she worked part-time. While in the Royal Academy Lennox was dissatisfied with her skill compared to her student classmates and contemplated a possible alternative route she could take. Lennox was initially an instrument player in the band Dragons Playground. However, she left before her band was requested to take part in I.T.V.'s talent contest New Faces. The singer was lead vocalist to The Tourists (a British popband) from 1977 to 1980. That was also where she met Dave Stewart with whom she would form her pop group Eurythmics. Lennox was working on her own first album Diva. It came out in 1993. The album had a tremendous success both critically and commercially. Nostalgia Lennoxs sixth solo album was launched in October 2014. The C.D. Lennox chose her favourite blues and soul tunes. Lepidoptera came out by Lennox on the 19th of May 2019. The collection comprising four tracks that were improvised. The E.P. is a companion piece to her art installation at the Massachusetts Museum of Contemporary Art entitled Now I Let You Go... The album is also her debut independently-released album. Annie Lennox born December 25 1954, is a Scottish activist, politician and philanthropist. She is also a singer-songwriter. In the late 70s, she gained a little fame when part the group known as The Tourists. She and Dave Stewart then gained international fame in the 1980s when they formed Eurythmics. In 1992, Lennox began her solo career by releasing their debut record Diva that produced a number of hit tracks, including Why and Walking on Broken Glass. Medusa is the album she recorded as her first studio album in 1995. The album features covers of such songs as The No MoreI love Yous and The Whiter Shade of Pale. Her credits include seven studio albums by herself and a compilation.
