Maureen Denise McCormick - the youngest of Richard McCormick's children was born in Woodland Hills in the year 1956. Her father was an educator at school while her mother was an at-home mom. Michael Dennis, Kevin and Dennis are her three oldest brothers. McCormick began singing and dancing from a young age, and would often perform puppet shows in front of the children from her neighborhood. She was crowned in the Baby Miss San Fernando Valley contest at the age of 6 and was approached via Pat Domigan, a talent agent of the Jack Wormser Agency. He requested that she be interested to join the business of show production. McCormick got her first big job when she was cast in the commercial for television that was broadcast in 1964 of Mattels latest baby doll Baby Pattaburp. The following year she appeared in another commercial with the company's Chatty Cathy doll and was soon cast in the play Wind It up until It Breaks at the La Jolla Playhouse. The Brady Bunch In 1969 McCormick was picked out of a crowd of over 1,200 kids who auditioned for the chance for the role of the oldest of three daughters towheaded on the brand new TV sitcom The Brady Bunch starring Florence Henderson and Robert Reed as newlyweds with the family of a blended couple. The show lasted five years. McCormick's book Heres the Story, Surviving Marcia Brady: Finding My True Voice was published in 2008. The book revealed that McCormick nearly lost her virginity while on stage of the show during the fifth season when it was played by Barry Williams. The actress was just 16 years older and the actor 19 at the at the time. We would've had a relationship, said she. But the timing wasn't right.
